Let us all thank the Lord for helping us get through this year; for without His Providence we are nothing. I especially thank Him for helping me through some difficult situations, the impacts of which I still feel up to now. But I am confident that with His help, I can make it through.

Let us also ask the intercession of Mary and all the Angels and the Saints as we begin another year. May the coming year be as grace-filled and fruitful and may we persevere in virtue all year.

Here are some prayers I have composed this year, which I am including here as they are especially appropriate as prayers of thanksgiving and hope in the Lord, that He will help us work out our salvation (Note: All were composed in a way that reflects the beauty of the Mass):

“Praise the Lord for He is good; His mercy endures forever! The Lord remembers His covenant forever; thus, I shall go up to His altar! I shall go up to Him, the joy of my youth! O my soul, why are you so downcast? Recall all that He has done for you and you shall pick up the harp and sing with joy.”

“It is truly right and just, our duty and our salvation, always and everywhere to give You thanks, O Lord! Merciful God, Giver of every blessing and Author of Goodness, Your providence has sustained us throughout our days…”

“O God, grant that we may merit to stand fast in His Truth and work out our salvation with fear and trembling…”
 
Praying thanksgiving for all the grace and blessings bestowed on us and for God’s hand in guiding us for the next year-- thank you-- The Holy Trinity, Our Blessed Mother, St. Joseph, and all the Angels and Saints.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Road Ahead
"My Lord God, I have no idea where I am going.
I do not see the road ahead of me.
I cannot know for certain where it will end.
Nor do I really know myself, and the fact that I think I am following your will does not mean that I am actually doing so.
But I believe that the desire to please you does in fact please you.
And I hope I have that desire in all that I am doing.

Heavenly Father, Creator of all and source of all goodness and love, thank you for all the graces and blessings You have bestowed upon us, spiritual and temporal: our faith and religious heritage, our food and shelter, our health, the love we have for one another, our family and friends.

Dear Lord, in Your infinite generosity, please grant us continued graces and blessing throughout the coming year.

An Act of Faith:
O my God, I firmly believe that you are one God in three Divine Persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; I believe that your Divine Son became man, and died for our sins, and that He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe these and all the truths the Holy Catholic Church teaches because You have revealed them, who can neither deceive nor be deceived.
