For those who’ve been following along with the prayer support that’s been so strong we could almost touch it, (re the sex offender who accosted my daughter), thank you so, so much. We went to court today, and in an unexpected move, the perpetrator changed his plea to “guilty.” This means that instead of a lengthy, exhausting trial, we go to court only once more - for sentencing. I believe with every fiber of my being that this completely uncharacteristic change of events happened only because of Divine intervention - directly connected to the prayer support from friends on this board. Thanks again.

From today’s Liturgy of the Hours:

Psalm 98 (99)
The Lord our God is holy

The Lord reigns! let the peoples tremble.
He is enthroned on the cherubim: let the earth shake.
The Lord is great in Sion,
he is high above all the peoples.

Let them proclaim his name – great and terrible it is,
let them proclaim his holy name,
the powerful king, who loves justice.
The laws you establish are just:
you have given Jacob uprightness and right judgement.

Praise the Lord, our God,
worship at his footstool,
for he is holy.

Moses and Aaron were among his prophets,
Samuel one of those who called on him.
They called on the Lord and he listened,
and from the pillar of cloud he spoke to them.
They kept his decrees
and the commands he gave them.
Lord our God, you listened to them;
O God, you were gracious to them,
but you punished their wrongdoing.

Praise the Lord, our God,
worship on his holy mountain,
for the Lord our God is holy.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be,
world without end.
Amen.

“All things work for good for those who love God”, as St Paul said.

It’s a credit to your courage in being willing to stand up to the offender in court.

Praise God, praying for you, your family, and especially your daughter…

I was praying specifically for you and your daughter today! I’m delighted that God has heard all our prayers for this outcome. May God continue to heal your daughter and may God continue to bring conversion into her offender’s spirit.

Thank You our God for Your merciful love.

Glory Be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit! May prayers of thanksgiving are joined to yours.
