I know I mostly have been a basket case when it comes to my DS with Aspergers. Thanks for all the prayers and advice. We went to an Open House a week ago today, and it went great. We spent two hours talking to the faculty and students about Catholic mission. My son leaned over and said, “Mom, this school is 10x more Catholic than any other school I looked at!”

He has been accepted and is going to do a shadow day in November. For some reason, the school felt like my old (now closed) Catholic H.S. There was a lot of focus on prayer and service, and there were clubs and activities my son was excited about! That night, he even saw some previous classmates who teased him, and they were totally mature. He probably will not be in any of their classes because cyber school allowed him to advance beyond where he would be if he was still in his parish school. However, my son wasn’t scared and was able to have some typical kid conversations with them.

Thank you again! God bless!

Thanks be to God!

I wish your son nothing but success and happiness on his journey!

It’s so good to hear such wonderful and happy news!~ Hope dear son has a fantastic year.
I join in prayers of thanksgiving for answered prayers.

Mary.

I’m glad for you. Your son and family will be in my thoughts and prayers; I wish your son a wonderful school year!

That’s fabulous!

And, yes, clubs and activities will be important for finding people he has something in common with and helping make the big school feel smaller.

And ALL of you here have been wonderful! I am going to have a Mass said for the intentions of the good people here. But, I’ll set that up after Adoration!

X, he wants to be in the service club, the science club and the astronomy club, plus band and school choir!

Truly, truly blessed! I need something to stress about…LOL!

Oh wow, that sounds great!

Thank you…I don’t know what happened? But whatever it is, praise God!

Cool, I have Aspergers, so if you need help with some advice and what not, feel free to ask.

Thank you! And I am sure I will take you up on that. One good thing…he is discerning a vocation so girls are not more than platonic friends.
