A year ago my brother’s father in law Red was afflicted with a seizure, stroke and heart attack. He spent 9 months in intensive care and we were told that he would not walk or be communicative ever again, if he even lived. He has been through a long haul but is home from the hospital and today wrote the word “cookies” when his wife Susan asked him what he wanted.
I am astounded at the goodness of God on the bad days, but on these days I stand amazed and breathless before Him and just wanted to pause and let all of you know that our Father loves us and cares for us.
So don’t lose hope and don’t ever give up because He hears and answers always. Sometimes that answer may be “no” but sometimes He leads us through the darkness and when we look back we realize that what we imagined was dark was actually His grace overshadowing us so that we would not fail when life is so heavy.
God bless you all.
