Pierce my heart oh broken arrow.
Shatter clear my cleft of truth
Broken by life’s fullest scorn
Robbed of life in purest youth

And made to see to rue the day
From there fast fallen I now lay

Stone on clay and fire on ice
This my soul it’s pierced me twice

I have no scorn greater than this
To know myself my deep abyss
To fight that bend that’s placed on edge
To know no peace that’s your revenge

And darkness near as down I delve
It’s black as pitch right through myself
A knife a blade of purest steel
A sharper pain that’s no less real

I’d give to you my very soul
I’d trade my place as you well know
But there’s no way out, no way through
In truth and fire I’d reach for you

Left alone to feel this blast
Empty now to face this past

Left alone I ebb and wane
As year on year you leave again

A passing spark a mote less bright
It’s fading now, there’s no more light

Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Thy faithful, and kindle in them the fire of Your love. Send forth Your Spirit, and they shall be created, and You shall renew the face of the earth. Amen.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Praying for you, Trident. PS- did you write that poem? It’s poignant.

***Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death
Amen.

Thanks guys. Thanks for your support in this.

This anniversary’s just a bit tough. It’s the 1st part of a triple. It was the beginning of what would be the end.

For me it marks the last good day possible. The last time we were carefree. The last time she was whole.

I started that poem on the day I knew for sure. Sometimes I add to it. Sometimes I mend it where it’s broken. Sometimes I change it altogether.

But thanks for keeping this vigil with me. Thanks for setting your eyes on my spirit. I need it just for today. This moment will pass. Tomorrow will hopefully be all the brighter for the contrast.

Peace guys. And thanks again.

You’re always in my heart and prayers, Trident. Thanks for sharing your poem with us; it resonates.

Psalm 62 (Trust in God)

In God alone is my soul at rest.
My help comes from him.
He alone is my rock, my stronghold, my fortress:
I stand firm.
In God is my safety and glory,
Trust him at all times,
Pour out your hearts before him
For God is our refuge.

Praying with you.:gopray:

Thank you again you guys. I’m feeling a lot better. I think this storm has finally passed. Thanks for doing this for me.

Peace.
