The Assumption can only be found implicitly as you well know. However, it is explicit in Sacred Tradition which flows from the same font as Sacred Scripture - as you should know well.
However, why do you assume that everything must be found in scriptue? Does scripture itself command this?
You can find the doctrine of sola scriptura explicitly in scripture?

I can’t find the word Bible in the “Bible” (Holy Scripture) or the word Trinity or ‘Sola Scriptura’ for that matter either.
What “straight Bible study class” did Peter, Paul and the other Apostles attend? Did they have the KJV??
Oh, the NT wasn’t even written yet, but the Word, Jesus Christ, was the teacher.

Right, so why are you trying to derail the thread by bringing up the fact that the Church teaches from tradition as well.
Protestant Catholic bashers say “the Church doesn’t have Bible study” …and … they are wrong. The Church has more bible study than any other church and provided daily to millions.
That is the point.
Now if you really want to talk about Mary, I will be happy to answer your questions and address your doubts.

My children attend a Catholic School for a private school education, not a Catholic education.
Actually, if anything sending them to a Catholic School has affirmed that our Church has been a blessing for our family in our spiritual life. It also has been wonderful for my kids to be able to appreciate their faith and a Church that would not deny another baptized believer to the Lord’s Table. They are weekly witnesses to this in the Catholic Church. They understand that it is the Lord’s Invitation, not ours to deny another Christian.God Bless!

This practice of inviting everyone to the “Lord’s Table” is a tradition of men that some faith communities practice. However Christ’s Church for 2000 years has taught what Christ himself taught that you have to be of one fold. If you and your faith community are comfortable with your tradition then adhere to it but know history does not agree.Off topic…Sorry…

Please. The Catholic Church has never taught error in faith and morals. Catholics wrote the Scriptures.
One can’t make either claim for the Episcopalian church.
So, does it really help one to read the Bible, if they either don’t know really what it means, or interpret incorrectly.

The good news for Catholics is that they don’t limit themselves to what fallible men can figure out, nor do we teach flawed interpretations of Scriptures written by Catholics in the context of Catholicism. When you take them out of the context of Catholicism, Scripures no longer make sense to those who don’t respect how they were written.
We Catholics humbly believe who Christ sent out to teach without error, with the protection of the Holy Spirit.
Why don’t you trust Christ?
