For the 12 Year Prayers, I was thinking of getting back to it. The daily prayers are not long, but yes, 12 years seem like a long time to maintain.
It does, but I figure either 12 years are going to pass anyway or I am going to pass before the 12 years is done, so I might as well give it a try.
They go much better now that I have them all memorized and can just say them whenever I have a few minutes in the day, like if I’m in the car or waiting in a line. I can often do the Rosary and the Divine Mercy the same way. Both the St. Bridget 12 year and the Divine Mercy take under 10 minutes, so I can get them done just driving 5 miles to work, church, the store, across my town, etc.

People come from other churches to attend our RCIA program. There were a few words which the director would use over and over again, and the were:

It depends
attitude

Our mother and her divine Son both love humility. You could mess up these prayers royally, be a poor reader and so on, and these prayers would be received with love I am sure. I would also venture to guess since these prayers and the eight year prayers are done every day consecutively for a long period of time, that they still count when in a state of mortal sin [as long as you don’t languish for long periods in mortal sin.] as they are direct petitions to God mostly on behalf of yourself, which are still heard.

If I am tired, no problem, if I am sick no problem, if I am arrogant, prideful, condescending,
if it is helpful at all, it would only be to resolve or lesson those earthly traits.
