Hello. I have just started the 54 day Rosary Novena today. I am asking the blessed mother for my health. I was very healthy before but since last year and this year I have gotten very sick- with pretty much illnesses that is hard to fix and one that may possibly shorten my lifespan or which I have to take medications for the rest of my life…I was just wondering though, I know that I am trusting the blessed Mother to cure me…but at the same time should I be adding that if it be Gods will that I am cured?..I know that She hears me but I also am aware that the novena is not some “magical” cure to everything…So should I be also adding, " if it be your will Lord, please cure me…? I know it’s a prayer to our Lady but I think Jesus listens on it too. Thanks

You don’t need to explicitly add “If it be God’s will” to every prayer you say, as long as you understand that every request we make is subject to God’s will and that it might not be God’s will that you get what you’re praying for.
Jesus and Mary know what’s in your heart and they know if you’re understanding and thinking “If it be God’s will” without you saying it every time.
You could say it once in a while just to remind yourself or emphasize the will of God.

Just got my long waited reply already!! I am so so grateful and thankful! It wasnt what I was thinking but k now now it is Gods will for me and my life. Praise the Lord and thanking our Lady ❤️ I feel veryyy much at peace

Well, don’t stop the Novena, even if you’re getting your answer already!

The version I pray has a line, during the 27 days you’re praying in Thanksgiving, is giving thanks even if the petition wasn’t answered in the time you wanted, or in the way you expected.

Yes. I will keep praying! Thanks!!!

I have prayed this novena twice. While I have not seen my petition answered yet, God answers prayers in His own perfect timing, so I keep praying. It is a beautiful novena!

A Christmas answer for you! Praise the Lord and thank you Mother Mary, and I’m happy that you were also granted the grace of Acceptance of God’s Will.

I have to finish my current one today. I’m about 5 Rosaries from the end and it was supposed to be done yesterday but I will put in the time and finish up today.

Are you going to pray five rosaries in a row?
There is an “express” version of this, where you pray 6 rosaries ever day for 9 days: 4 and 1/2 days in petition, and 4 and 1/2 days in thanks. (On day 5 you pray the three rosaries to finish the petition, then you pray three rosaries to start the thanks.) I used this when my BIL had an accident that all the doctors except one were saying would require amputation of at least one finger. On day 5 the one doctor did the surgery that let him keep his finger and restored some function.

Was replying, but then realized you had withdrawn the post. I’ll edit my original post (if possible) to make it clear that it’s “4 and 1/2 days.”

I just started another one. As above the 9 day one. Thanks.

I also want to note here that one time I was unemployed for most of a year. I went through two of those novenas asking for a job. When I finished it the second time, I went to my computer, opened my email, and found a Bible-verse-of-the-day that was Matthew 6:25-34, Jesus’ parable about the lilies of the field, that starts
“Therefore I say unto you, Be not anxious for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on.”
Within two months I had a job.
