Unfortunately, I am all too familiar with that guy. I, for one, am happy that he has been removed from his chairmanship.

Sorry – Don McElroy is no Jesus.Pilate said " What is truth? " John 18:38

And I don’t have a problem with you or anyone disagreeing with science based on their faith. However, you don’t do that. You claim that science and scientists are evil. There is a difference. Another poster on CA takes the position that the creation story in Genesis is literally true but he makes it clear that he does so only because of his faith, not that the science is wrong. Why can’t you do the same?I believe in this world there are things that are true and things that are false. I believe there is science that is true and science that is false. I believe their are teachings that are true and teachings that are false.
I have not attacked your use of scripture. Your problem isn’t the use of scripture, your problem is your mistaken, personal interpretation of scripture. You keep saying my interpretation on one hand and then attack when I use scripture. As I said before, your argument is not with me, but the Word of God.
Meaning what in the context of the current discussion?

I am a Christian. That man had no business being on the board of education (which unfortunately he still is) much less being the chairman.
The silencing of Christians is well underway in the Land of the free and the home of the brave.
Scott Roeder is a Christian, and he was not silent in shooting George Tiller in church. The silencing of Christians is well underway in the Land of the free and the home of the brave.
You know Tim, it’s interesting that among the otherwise educated people who show the greatest ignorance of science one often finds dentists (like McElroy) and engineers. I suspect it’s because they lack the historical sense necessary to the comprehension of astronomy, geology, and evolution.I am a Christian. That man had no business being on the board of education (which unfortunately he still is) much less being the chairman. I have not been silenced. Have you?Peace Tim

Do you normally comment on things you don’t know anything about? He is still on the board of education and he is still a dentist. He is no longer the chairman of the board of education. Perhaps you should learn a little about the topic before you accuse me of anything.
You seem to take a fiendish delight in someone losing his job because he’s a creationist .

Based on your baseless and un-Christian accusations in this thread, I would say that I am in a much better position than you are.
If someone accused you of being a Christian ,would there be enough evidence to convict you ?
Any old dentist can call himself a Christian. Don McLeroy was not silenced; he simply did not have the qualifications for school board leadership.Any old murderer can call himself a christian.
Agreed. Overanalyzing Rev. is an all-to-common problem among Protestants and increasing Catholics. I see this as a “rub-off” of increasing alliances between them.No it doesn’t tie in with it. Revelation is a first century apocalyptic vision that is utterly irrelevant from a cosmological perspective.
i agree with your comment Matahari… it is strange, isn’t it. would it be better if he was an atheist?

You wish I were an athiest? Wow. I wouldn’t wish that on you.i agree with your comment Matahari… it is strange, isn’t it. would it be better if he was an atheist?
why? because he is a creationist? would you rather have an atheist?I am a Christian. That man had no business being on the board of education (which unfortunately he still is) much less being the chairman.
but are you in a position of influence? (other then your peers)I have not been silenced. Have you?

I would rather have a Christian who allows science to be taught in science class.why? because he is a creationist? would you rather have an atheist?
So you haven’t been silenced either?but are you in a position of influence? (other then your peers)
