The one thing that has me convinced that the Earth is 4.6 billion years old and that the Universe is about 14 billon years is that we can see it thought the powerful telescopes and stuff. Unless God is deceiving us, which is not something a good God would do, the Universe has to be that old, along with our galaxy and planet Earth.

However, I do not believe that humans evolved from that soup like ameaba like single celled organisms. I believe it is possible there are related species like the homo habulas and apes which might have, but I think God specifically created us at one point— perhaps giving a soul to homonoids (Adam and Eve) or perhaps individually creating them. It really does not matter.

Ah, but it does matter. The truth matters.

Evolution is not true and can never be proven.

God created us complete and fully formed, evolution is satanic deception.

You do not understand how science works. I encourage you to visit a university some day, and speak to a Catholic biologist.

And the blessing of the dullard? What is good about less education/knowledge? She we be like the Amish and stop going to school in the 8th grade? Do you want a nation of knuckle-draggers?
Wait a minute – I agree with you about the value of science education, but the Amish are hardly knuckle draggers!

It depends if you’re on mount Gerizim or mount Ebal

You know what they say " pride cometh before a fall "

Make sure you don’t fall off any high mountains !

I’m sorry I didn’t mean it that way. The Amish approach to their faith is their own and stands outside of the larger society in some ways.

I do find it very fascinating that a tiny minority of folks would propose such outlandish ideas. It’s really hard for me to not interject humor into this exchange.

I bet these Creationist scientists do wear lab coats and everything though- to look the part!😃

Feanor2, some of them do. The Institute for Creation Research of San Diego (and Texas) conducts “research” raft trips through the Gran Canyon every summer. They must know their Flood geology, as they carry serious rock hammers! And the Discovery Institute has a secret lab somewhere in the Seattle Area where they are conducting “research” into intelligent design. Nothing so far, but we wait patiently, and when they get white lab coats, watch out!

If there is zero evidence, why do 100,000 highly educated biologists accept and work with the theory, and why do biologists not work with the theory that the earth is only 6,000 years old?
Why does the world abort its own children with many abortion supporters coming from the ranks of the highly educated.

It just couldnt be a case of moral blindness, definitely not right?

Rev 7:9 “After this, I saw a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations and tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and in sight of the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands.” 🙂

White lab coats? And the palms?

My question is. . .

Since when did Catholics begin reading the Bible literally? Perhaps the intellectual giants of the Evangelical communities are rubbing off. . .

So who is tuning into the 700 club anyway? 🤷

Hello, Catholics don’t. What has been discussed and presented is the clear, constant teaching and belief of the Church and Magisterium.
