No that is exactly what it means. Serpents have always been symbolic of wisdom. An allegory uses symbolic fictional characters.

No, nor do I wish to be. I’m just a fish out of water, flapping in the breeze. That’s where we came from according to evolution; even in the gospel it says that the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters–life originated in the water. We came from fish; so all I am is a fish out of water, flapping in the breeze.
 
I am sorry but by what you said, it reminds me a lot of Satan who knows Jesus is God …is afraid to be in the House of God, and he doesn’t want to worship God.

The only thing you haven’t said is that you didn’t ask Jesus to worship you as Satan did.

Evolution is just another man made religion. There is no real evidence for it.

common sense says you are created.

If you look at a painting, how do you know there was a painter?

If you look at a builder, how do you know there was a builder?

Evolution is just the way the spirit creates. There’s no magic pixie dust that forms you out of the ground. God did not really take a rib to form woman.

Right, there is a chance that you will worship God someday. 🙂

For now, I end this conversation until someday you realize that you should NOT call God a liar - at least you should show respect to the only true God whom Christians worship. This is just the basic civilization a human being should have.

Jesus says, he who keeps my sayings is the one that loves me. I keep his sayings. Look, I only say that God is a liar because the Spirit has not even moved upon the church–to say and confess that Genesis, for example, is not an actual account of events. I call the God of the church a liar because they make men believe that Adam and Eve were real people; and that in reality some serpent tempted them in the garden.
I worship God in spirit and in truth. I worship him by not worshipping him, saying praise Jesus this and praise Jesus that, but by listening to the wise counsel that scripture has to offer.

This just doesn’t sound in the slightest like loving God with all your heart, soul and strength to me, as Christ bid us do :nope:

And as for saying the spirit has not moved upon His church - he himself promised that the spirit, which first moved in the church at Pentecost, would stay and never leave it until the end of time, and guide and teach it ‘in all truth’. More than that, he promised that HE HIMSELF would always be wherever two or three gather in his name. Besides which, he said to the Apostles ‘who hears you hears me’.

Where have you followed any of the above teachings of his in your ‘I worship by not worshipping’ and ‘the spirit hasn’t moved in the Churches’ rot.

Well I guess it may make you stronger. If you feel you want to bath in pain then God will be accomodating to your wishes.

Hed rather you didnt, but if you wish He didnt deliver you then thats your choice. But His offer is there on the table, your choice.

Godhead, in another thread you said you were sixteen. Are you European and does “college” mean the American “high school”, or are you Canadian and does “college” mean the American “junior college” and you’re a couple years ahead, or are you just making stuff up? If the last, that makes people less inclined to listen to you.

16 in Canada would be probably Grade 10 which is high school it goes to 12 in the west and 13 in the east. 🙂

Im fairly certain that young mr godhead is trying to start a goat farm . . . . 😉

aren’t you 16? i doubt you went to college just because most college students don’t speak in half sentences and proofread their work so they don’t look like a fool, which is what you do on every single post. also, even if you did take such classes, it doesn’t mean you passed. :rolleyes:

Think about it, I know that it is incomprehensible to your mind; but ponder it. Why should I worship another being? Who cares if he created me? Who really cares about another being that is more powerful than me? Why should I worship anything? Do animals worship things? Do they really care if there is a god? And God provides for these. Why should I have to beg and plead with God, for him to provide me with stuff? Why? Why say praise God this and praise God that, what does it accomplish? What? A sense in your mind–that God is present? What God is found in words, words that you can’t let go?
Isn’t it a yea or nea; and anything that procedes from this comes from evil? So why can’t I just say yes or no to the obstacles that God puts in my path? Why must I say praise him for this and praise him for that? If I should worship him in truth and he has no need of my praise then why do I have to worship him in the way you do? Doesn’t anything more than yea or nea come from evil?

no I’m not really 16. I’m 26. I just said I was 16 to watch the behaviour of your words change from adult to parent. Talking down to me.
