I also wanted to add this about the eyes being the window to the soul.

Matthew 6:22 “The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light. 23 But if your eyes are unhealthy, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!

And we are made in Gods image.

I don’t think the Illuminati exist. I also thought that the eye on the dollar bill was a symbol of God. The question might be, “What did the deists believe it to be?” since they founded this country.
 
The Illuminati did exist in c18 - It was dodgy. Not sure it exists now though

It is a very ancient symbol, that represents the omniscience and omnipresence of God. There is nothing to fear.

here is what you should tell your friend.

The all-seing Eye is a symbol, symbols are given power by people, and the meaning of the symbol can vary from person to person. For instance, today we see the swastika as a symbol of hate and oppression because it was adopted by the Nazis, but the Swastika can be found in many ancient cultures and there are temples in India covered in swastikas that have nothing to do with the Nazis.

So, just because you found an ancient Egyptian symbol in a church that is also used by the Illuminati dosnt mean the church is Illuminati. The All-Seeing Eye and the Eye of Horace predate both Christianity and the Illuminati conspiracy theories.

Symbols mean nothing without context.
 
To the OP. Tell him the Church had it first and the illuminati stole it from us so how is it we are bad? Or tell him to quit watching dumb shows ( I know I do but for a good laugh)

I know for sure that it was in the 1700’s) I’m pretty sure that the symbol of the all-seeing eye has been around longer than that. To me it seems that the Church did not take up a symbol of the Illuminati but rather that maybe that secret society took up a symbol that the Church already was using.

The Bible speaks about the Eyes of God, not the Eye of God
the Eye of God souns more mythological or Masonic !
 
I wear it on my neck … its reference to God … the Freemasons and Illuminati stole it from us

I personally consider J-I-S to be a comedy website, because the only value it offers whatsoever is as a satire of hardline Evangelical Christianity. You find some hysterical stuff on there.
