So, I repeat, we are under no such an authority. Only the authority of the Scriptures. And still here, every Jew is allowed to interpret the way he pleases, as long as he does not confess his religious loyalty to another faith or religion.

My friend I was using the phrase “competent authority”. Unless you think the only competent authority around is the ecclesiatical authority or the likes, then you are correct.

Are you trying to say that the Tanach is made out of lies and that the NT is made out of truths? Because IMO, the NT was not written by Jews; and the Tanach yes.

And for this I personally would like to thank you chosen people. I believe I’ve also learned something about Judaism from reading your posts. We all can become heated at times but maybe your Judging Skills lend themselves to fruitful discussion.

At the risk of taking one tangent on this thread, I only have one Big frustration with Israel. Why couldn’t Maccabi Haifa beat Bayern Munchen in the Champions League Football opening match? I would have liked to seen the Bavarians go down. With this I am truly upset.

p.s. I have no idea if you have time to follow football (soccer) but I did and wanted to vent.

Read the quoted text of the poster to which I was responding.

My response was a tongue-in-cheek response stating the opposite to what I or any normal person not harbouring the posters anti-Jewish feeling would respond (seemingly agreeing with the anti-Jewish comments of the poster)- לשון סגי נהור

I even added an icon in the middle to help people understand that it was a humorous response.

Now for the record, despite what the poster whom I quoted wrote, I do not believe “Jews” lie and perpetuate lies. However as I am a Jew -can I be believed?

Now if I still haven’t been able to clarify my response than I guess you just had to be there.
