Romber (Rob and Amber): For or against? *(Me: Against. Get off my TV!)
*
Kevin and Drew: How much longer will they last? (Me: Not much.)

David and Mary: Are they still likeable? Will they do decently? (Me: They’re better being nice, but they’re not long for the Race either.)

Dustin and Kandice: Are they the first all-female team to win? (Me: Could be.)

Other thoughts on this season welcome!

I’m totally all about Rob and Amber… they’re my favorites to win. They race well, and I like them, and I’ve met Rob a few times. He’s not the jerk he comes across as on TV, he’s actually pretty nice.

My mother won’t even watch the show because Rob and Amber were sooo unlikeable from Survivor. I just keep rooting against them and their devious ways. I don’t think that doing anything to win speaks highly of one’s character even if it is “just” a TV show.

i wish the nice couple from KY could continue to be nice and win. However, I think that they fuss between themselves enough that it will kill their chances.

I still cannot stand the “beauty queen” chicks. They used the single straight guys when they originally raced and I laughed when I saw that this time there were 2 gay couples who won’t be looking at them plus all of the other straight couples who won’t care about “hooking up” with these not so nice women.

It is anyone’s race at this point!

They do race well. And let’s face it, it’s about money here. It’s called doing anything to get it. It’s not about being nice. And there are probably a few of us who would trip our brother or sister to get some. That being said, I still think Rob’s a jerk. And Amber isn’t much better. My vote is on the ex cop and his wife.

Everyone gets nasty during the race at some point. I have never really seen Rob and Amber get downright cruel to each other or anyone else on the Race. It’s a stressfull game, and you gotta mess with some heads to get ahead sometimes. Even David and Mary messed with the BQ’s last week at the airport didn’t work though. The only people I am actively rooting against are Charla and Mirna. I don’t mind Charla, but Mirna is a miserable drama queen and I loathe her.

I totally wanna go on this show. I won’t do it with my boyfriend… we’d kill each other. But I would definetly run with my dad. OOOOHHHHH MAN do I wanna go on TAR.

I can tell he’s messed with yours.

Loove the show! I like the Beauty Queens… I cheered for them last time. I guess people either like or dislike them.

Kentucky couple are too nice. It’s not about being nice. Very lovable. I want to go visit them someday.

Rob and Amber are boring. Big egos.

Myrna and Charla are entertaining because they get so angry!

Uchenna and Joyce won last time because the producers played with the plane’s take-off schedule. They aren’t strong enough to win again.

I have to cheer for Charla - we women with dwarfism have to stick together 👍

I’d love to cheer for the team especially since they are from Md. But the way Mirna acts both towards Charla and the other teams keeps me from cheering for them.

Come on now, Mirna complained about getting a step stool and then ended up on Charla’s shoulders. Maybe as a woman with dwarfism you have a different perspective on that, but to me that looks bad.

He’s actually a REALLY nice guy. I knew him before Survivor. He coached the BU roller hockey team, when my boyfriend coached another team in the same division. He was pretty ok back then.

It was the other way around, but if Mirna could get away with being on Charla’s shoulders, she probably would. 😃

I’m also from Maryland, and I can’t stand them. They try to play dirty with others, but when anyone tries to play dirty with them, they’re shocked. Mrina especially lost it this past week.

And her Bogus Foreign Accent, especially with that poor cab driver. Despicable.

Both the gay teams, Danny and Oswald (the Cha-Chas) and Joe and Bill (the Guidos) have been quite enjoyable – and successful – this Race so far.

Quote of the week, from Mary as she looked to a sign in trying to decide which way to turn just before the Valley of the Dead:

[SIGN]I would think right,
because it’s got
the most words.[/SIGN]

It wasn’t, and seven of the ten teams missed that turn. And is it me, or is Mary running this Race alone?

Shameless plug alert: the answer to that and more in my snarky summary of The Amazing Race All Stars, Episode 2.

If you watched that scene again you will see in fact it was Mirna on Charla’s shoulders.

The following quote comes off a site I monitor about the Amazing Race that recaps all the episodes that mentions it,

“In a brief, bizzare flash, I see Mirna on Charla’s shoulders. Mirna, you yell at your cousin for wanting a step-stool, then you use HER as a step-stool? Unreal.” I tried to find a picture of the scene but it isn’t on the official Amazing Race page or this one either.

I just rechecked my tape, and I stand corrected! It IS Mirna on Charla. Wow. Thanks, Marauder!

Yeah, what is with Myrna’s fake accent? It’s like she adopts whichever accent the cab driver or local has? I remembered that from last time.

While I missed the step-stool/shoulders incident - chances are Mirna weighs less than Charla. Those of us with certain types of dwarfism are very solidly built, we are “dense” (😃 ) but beautiful. Mirna is a teeny little thing, and it is very likely she could not lift Charla.

Thanks it is interesting hearing what a person with dwarfism thinks about what happened.

I personally love watching the show “Little People, Big World.” I think it is one of the most wholesome reality shows on TV. Actually showing a “normal” family instead of the messed up families we get with most “reality” shows.

I call it “Mirnglish.” 😃

New question for our esteemed CAF apologists, based on Episode 3:

Is Rob Jesus? 🙂

(for those who don’t get it, the Guidos were wondering which way Rob and Amber had gone. The ensuing discussion led Joe to blurt, “Rob is not Jesus!”)

**I actually think it’s ironic that they would reference Jesus, who seems to have so little standing in today’s society:(. I would have expected them to say Donald trump or the like;) **
