With so many meanings for so many words it would be easy for Muslims to misinterprete the Quran. Muslims did not understand that the Quran did not agree with the Holy Bible until some few hundred years after it was written, WHY?Something to learn about Arabic is that words can have many meanings. Soul, spirit, breath even have the same word. The word for wind comes from the same root.
Quran.Com is a great resource for looking at different translations. Some translations make the implied meaning explicit through the use of ] and (). As for the first ayah, yes, the “spirit” is something created. As for the second, it refers to Gabriel, meaning by means of in the word من rather than “of.” And as for the third, it also refers to the Angel Gabriel.
The first: روحي – My Ruh
The second: روحنا – Our Ruh
The third: الروح – The Ruh
The Muslims aren’t the ones interpreting the Qur’an incorrectly. Rather, it’s folks who come along centuries late and don’t know Arabic that do so.
How is it that allah needs an angel to blow a part of his soul soul into a person?
Interesting that the royal we is used for Mary but not Adam. And where the soul is blown directly into Adam it is blown into Mary to be formed into Jesus.
21.91
Sahih International
And [mention] the one who guarded her chastity, so We blew into her [garment] through Our angel [Gabriel], and We made her and her son a sign for the worlds.
How many angels visited Mary?
3:42
Sahih International
And [mention] when the angels said, "O Mary, indeed Allah has chosen you and purified you and chosen you above the women of the worlds.
3:45
Sahih International
[And mention] when the angels said, "O Mary, indeed Allah gives you good tidings of a word from Him, whose name will be the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary - distinguished in this world and the Hereafter and among those brought near [to Allah ].
In this verse the spirit is only giving news not blowing allah’s soul into Mary:
19:19
Sahih International
He said, “I am only the messenger of your Lord to give you [news of] a pure boy.”
You have not explained why the Spirit is singled out in this verse :
78.38 Sahih International
The Day that the Spirit and the angels will stand in rows, they will not speak except for one whom the Most Merciful permits, and he will say what is correct.
