The Angelus

From my understanding, traditionally the Angelus is prayed 3 times a day at 6:00 a.m., noon, and 6:00 p.m.

If someone wants to begin praying the Angelus three times daily on his own, does it have to be at these times or could it be at different set times?

I would hope so, since I am never awake at 6am.

We had that at my former Franciscan novitiate where I learned it in Latin, but even we were not up at that time!

If you are not awake at 6am say it as soon as you do wake up I try to wake up,stand up make the Sign of the Cross then kneel (stand on Sunday) for the Angelus.
