I’ve been reading the Epistle of Barnabas, and I came across something that just made me go “woah”. Here 'tis:
Barnabas 7:2
If then the Son of God, being Lord and future Judge of quick and dead, suffered that His wound might give us life, let us believe that the Son of God could not suffer except for our sakes.
The part that I have emphasised is what I want to discuss. Could this be the reason for Creation? If you put this together with the statement that one cannot know love if one has not suffered, then I think that this is a possible or even a probable reason for God making Creation in the first place. What do people think?
By the way, I have found the Epistle to be a wonderful read!
