Catholics,

First, let us pray everyday that this never happens.
(Protestants should pray a prayer too because the last thing you want is the antichrist to move to such power over so many Christians)

Father, may the promise Your Son made that His Church would never let the gates of hell prevail against it always remain true. Please, Lord, by the help of Your Holy Spirit, keep your Church pure and fill her with holy men and women, especially those called and consecrated to religious vocations. Amen, Amen!

Say the AntiChrist were to infiltrate the Church and someday become Pope.

Would you still remain Catholic?
Most Holy Trinity, please protect Jesus’ Church and keep her free from evil. Help her grow in holiness and may evil’s influence only lessen from this point on. Amen, Amen!

(I have to say that I was scared to make this post, but I figured it be best to bring it up…especially for the sake of getting people to pray about it.)
 
I wanted to bounce what I was thinking off my wife and we were both thinking the same thing, that the Anit-Christ won’t come be the Pope or someone from the RCC. Rather, the Anti-Christ is one who will draw people away from their faith, question their faith, weaken their faith. I am with you in prayer for protection from the Anti-Christ.

Thank you for your reply! It seems like people are hesitant to make a reply. I think that might have been why I was initially hesitant to post this.

I do trust that Christ’s Church will be protected by the Holy Spirit. This still does require us to play our part in prayer in remaining steadfast in faith.

Jesus told us we must endure till the end. WHATEVER happens, given the worse scenario, we must endure. I pray for the community not to have too many Judas.

**St. John clearly and umambiguously says that the spirit of Antichrist will deny that Jesus Christ is God come in the flesh.

Whatever the Bishop of Rome has done and might do, this is not it.

Were one so to do, he would ipso facto have fallen from the faith and become an anti-pope.

(And NO! I’m not a sedevacantist!)**
