Why do we need another Ark of the Covenant?

and, more importantly:

Why are we looking for the Ark of the Covenant in the NT?

Thanks.

“Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.”

He didn’t even mention Mary nor did he praise her in that sentence, nothing to do with Mary there, but the word of God.
Yes, but don’t forget that Jesus came to fulfill the Law…including “Honor thy mother and father.” Every time His mother is mentioned among His presence, He MUST honor her, or He does not fulfill this part of the Law. Therefore, by saying, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it,” He honors His mother by repeating what Elizabeth said to her: “And blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfilment of what was spoken to her from the Lord” (Luke 1:45).

Because we need to bring God to all people, by being Arks of the Covenant.

I don’t see it, and I don’t read into the bible what it does not say. I’m sure Jesus honored his earth Mother as we all should honor our parents , but no where did he tell us to honor Mary , The two times Jesus talked to his Mother in the Gospel he called her Woman, which has to tell us something.

The Bible is about Jesus , not Mary.

In other words, you are telling us that Jesus is a sinner by not honoring Mary with the name “Mother” in the presence of others.

THAT is what you have to contend to with your own argument.

And yes, THAT is about who Jesus is, and thus, by your own argument, you should pay attention to that.

Please forgive me but I am lost.

That I can remember there are 2 instances of the Ark of the Covenant in the NT:

[bibledrb]Hebrews 9:4[/bibledrb]

[bibledrb]Revelation 11:19[/bibledrb]

We are under a new covenant with Jesus. He is the covenant, not me. I am His servant not the Ark.

Thanks for your patience.

In Him.

There is nothing to say Jesus did not honor Mary, and I never said that, please don’t put words in my mouth. But Jesus called her woman not Mother.

Jesus is the only non sinner that walked the Earth.

I love how people object with “don’t put words in my mouth”, because that means they don’t want to be responsible for the implications of the words they are saying.

I don’t buy that.

SHOW us how Jesus cannot sin by calling Mary “Woman”. Or are you implying I can now call my mother “Woman” without danger to my soul?

You did put words in my mouth, so please don’t.

If you think Jesus is a sinner by calling his mother Woman, I do believe your wrong as Jesus never sinned or could sin. You can call your Mother what you want.

HOW? How could Jesus not sin by calling Mary “Woman?”

You told us that “The Bible is about Jesus , not Mary.” THAT is direct copy and paste. And THIS question that I posted is CRUCIAL to knowing about Jesus’ sinlessness. SO no, you cannot dodge this question.

HOW? ** How could Jesus not sin by calling Mary “Woman?”**

You need to ask him that not me.

Copy and paste, no that is how I feel and that is the truth, the Bible is all about Jesus , not a copy and paste.

Do we not receive the New Mana during Mass?

Do we not have the New Commandment written in our hearts?

Are we not a nation of priests?

Think about it.

And we Catholics all have, and we know the answer.

It just seems most Protestants do not want to ask Jesus, too afraid of the answer.

Ah well.
I have no idea about what protestants do, but I don’t read into the word of God what I want

But I’m not the one who wants to know why Jesus did not sin by calling Mary, Woman,

I already know Jesus is not a sinner and has never sinned.

In other words, you do not want to love Jesus, you just want to have faith in Him.

If you wanted to love Jesus, you would have wanted to know EVERYTHING about Him.

Again, ah well, suit yourself.

No I love him very much, with all my heart and soul. Yes I want to know as much about his as I can, and that is why I read his Word. Nothing to do with loving Jesus.
