“The Chapel of the Tablet at the Church of Our Lady Mary of Zion allegedly houses the original Ark of the Covenant”

This is a quote from an online encyclopedia.

If this is true, shouldn’t The Ark be shared with the other churches?
Why would one church keep such a huge relic all to themselves?
This would strengthen the faith of all the faithfull.

What you really mean is that somebody else should keep it.

I would say that it is better left where it is until Our eternal Father (The Authour of the Covenant) decides what to do with it. I believe that we were given the new Arc we do not need to carry the Old Arc around.

No It seeme to make sence that it would be in Ethiopia. And its part of Ethiopian tradition.

My point is that it hould be shared.
So we can all enjoy having our faith strengthend by it.

I agree but as another poster said, we have the new Arc. 🙂

please provide the link

and as for the sharing. they are the ones that found it, let it stay there; and it can be “shared” just by the knowledge of knowing where it is.

A more interesting question is that if the Ark of the Covenant still exist with Jesus applying the New Covenant to his Church will you still die if you touch it?

We have a church built at Christ’s tomb do we not?
Christ has been resurrected long ago and yet this is a holy place.

We have the relics of St.Peter and yet he is alive in heaven…but we still hold importance to his bones.

Why would The ArK that contained
Holy objects be any less holy?
As if it should be thrown in the garbage?

No No No… the Ark of the covenant disappeared during the exile is true but the new true Ark of the Covenant is Mary and she resides in heaven… read Revelations Chapter 11 19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven: and the ark of his testament was seen in his temple, and there were lightnings, and voices, and an earthquake, and great hail. Then look at Chapter 12 1 And a great sign appeared in heaven: A woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars: 2 And being with child, she cried travailing in birth, and was in pain to be delivered. 3 And there was seen another sign in heaven: and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads, and ten horns: and on his head seven diadems: 4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to be delivered; that, when she should be delivered, he might devour her son. 5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with an iron rod: and her son was taken up to God, and to his throne.

It goes directly from the ark of his testament to the woman clothed with the sun… This is where the true ark of the covenant is… in heaven with her Son.

It would not be but if it is held in an Ethiopian Orthodox Church then surely it is in a good place, is it not? Yes, I know the condition of Ethiopia is not the best in the world and therefore the Ark of the Covenant could be in danger. However, I believe that God would protect such a holy relic. And besides that, I don’t honestly know for a fact that the Ark of the Covenant is actually in an Ethiopian Orthodox Church. Sure, it would be nice if it were in the Vatican’s museum or whatever but it obviously is not. What do you expect that we should do? Steal it from the Ethiopian Orthodox? Discuss it with them and bargain with them for it? Something else? 🤷 I’m honestly interested.

With all do respect, I am interested in The relics of the old ark. And I am interested in the church that says they have it.
Why lie about that?
Why sin against God by housing a lie in a church…saying its the ark if it I not?

Fun fact: The Ethopian Orthodox Church canonized Pontius Pilate.

Dose this tell you anything about the EOC?

I think we should discuss it with them, and ask if they would in some way share this relic with us.

We would not pass St.Peters bones all around Christindom…so I would not expect them to pass the ark around.

But The bishop can come forward and tell us if this is the true ark or not. And if so it can be a place for us to visit and see and learn of how it got there…and learn about any miracles that has happened because of it.

??? Can you please explain this?
A protestant church may need to stretch the truth to make it valid.
Such as Jehovahs witness or Mormon.
However an Apostolic church with valid orders should have no reason
to lie about having a holy relic.

If they did lie about it and put a fake ark in the church where mass was celebrated, how could that not be a sin? They would be directly teaching error in there tradition.
