Couldn’t get the first link to go anywhere, and the print for the second link was difficult to read. But IF the Jesuit Father General was referring to intuition, or whatever others want to call it, that’d be fair enough. A bit of wisdom thrown in with everything else.

Not “The Sight”, but the ability to see past just ticks and crosses and one or two-word answers.
Giving him the benefit of the doubt, and no pagan superstition involved.

The second big link is the correct link I am on a phone and had to enlarge the print out. I did not imagine it would have to do with pagan superstition at all in reading it. Maybe there is a cultural thing in SE Asia for it in Catholic tradition. ?

The third eye is thought to relate to the pineal gland, and it’s secretions are thought to open up the subconscious, and hence the universe. For us this “universe” is the Kingdom of Heaven. From this Kingdom perspective we can so much greater feel loved by God and give love to others, and with greater understanding and wisdom.

The priest is correct that many priests and therefore many parishioners are somewhat superficial in their Christianity. It’s not out of any maliciousness. They just don’t know. If the priests don’t know they can’t teach. Christianity is taught, but not so much Christian spirituality. Remember Jesus said we would do greater things than He did on earth. He did not mean building skyscrapers or making a TV broadcast to millions of people. He was talking about supernatural works.

I remember going to catholic grade school and the teachers bringing in cups of fluoride for all the students to drink once a week, its interesting that fluoride is used to suppress the pineal gland. I just wonder if they still do that?

No, they don’t do that now and didn’t do that when I was a kid, but that is because it was a public dental health initiative in the US and public water supplies were fluoridated. Where you were they may have not treated the water supply yet, so they gave fluoride doses in the schools. I too have concerns about flouride, but my city has very low concentrations of it in the water supply, and I really think officials at the time were misguided rather than malicious. The elites drink from the same public water supplies as we do. If flouride truly diminishes our spiritual openness why don’t we see more enlightened behavior in the parts of the world where people receive no fluoride? I’ve also heard calcification of the pineal gland occurs with aging regardless of fluoride intake.

This was in a parish that was probably the largest church/ school in the area, it was a very large suburban area right outside a major city (cincinnnati, OH), so our water supply was definitely being treated with fluroide at the time.

It’s a gift from God, and Padre Pio most likely had it.

My schools gave out bottled milk at recess. It sat in the corridor and was quite rank by recess , esp during summer. We lived through this stuff though :milk_glass:

We got small waxed cardboard containers of milk twice a day, served chilled. Only once in 8 years was it spoiled.

I could never find anything definitive. A search shows mostly sites selling special flouride filters or connected to blogs with all sorts of conspiracy stuff.

i went to a Catholic primary school. Only once did a nun force me to drink the foul stuff. It came back up quick smart, and James McGregor had to clean it up. James McGregor always had to clean up after similar occurrences, like every time Billy Barrett wet himself.
The McGregors were extremely poor, and came to school barefoot, so poor James was looked down on.
