The Atlantic Fabricates Another Anti-Trump Story

Apparently, no lessons have been learned by the staff at The Atlantic when it comes to pushing fake stories. After having their anonymously-sourced, false hit piece claiming Trump called dead soldiers losers and didn’t want to visit a French cemetery blow up in their face, one of their reporters decided to go right back to the well.
A Trump spokesman made a comment on Twitter that Biden was continuing to avoid reporters, which is he absolutely is. Instead of being offended that a major presidential candidate won’t speak to the press, The Atlantic’s Edward-Isaac Dovere decided to try to white knight for the Democrat because of course he did.
Edward-Isaac Dovere:
. . . Today, a Trump campaign spokesman mockingly tweeted a video of Biden visiting his son’s grave.
The problem? Biden was not visiting his son’s grave.
Sean Davis:
As the pool report from Sunday makes very clear, Biden never stopped to visit any graves. He walked out of church at 11:22 a.m., his motorcade left at 11:24 a.m., and Biden was home at 11:28 a.m. Why does TheAtlantic keep fabricating stories?
Sean Davis:
Taken verbatim from the pool report: A reporter “shouted at [Biden] to come talk to us. [Biden] waved and continued walking to his SUV.” Exactly as described by the Trump campaign spokesman in his tweet. The Atlantic needs to explain why its reporters keep fabricating stories.
Sean Davis:
There’s even video of it, and Biden never stops. He walks straight from the church to the parking lot. Why does JeffreyGoldberg allow his journos to fabricate stories that have zero basis in reality?
In other words, Dovere’s framing that a Trump campaign member was mocking Biden visiting his son’s grave is not only wrong, it was completely made up by this supposed reporter. Biden goes straight from the church to his . . . They were mocking him for being a dementia-ridden candidate who can’t answer questions from even the friendliest of news media outlets because he’s incapable of doing so. . . .
