The Bad Lieutenant starring Harvey Keitel and directed by Abel Ferrara is the most powerful movie that I have ever seen. I am often moved by just recalling in my memory the main characters moment of redemption. This is a tough flick - depicting rape and desecration and drug use - all of it depicted in an explicit and raw manner. Yet no other movie has affected me so. The movie is thick with the themes of the Catholic faith.
Has anyone else been similarly moved ?
