The Beatles bad for society?

One of their later songs ‘Let it be’ almost sounds like it has a christian message in it. “When I find myself in times of trouble, Mother Mary comes to me”, it makes you wonder if their talking about the Virgin Mary.
I really like the beatles music. I don’t listen to every song they made. and really, people will read anything into any song. One of my favorite songs by the singer James Blunt is called ‘High’, and sure enough most people thought he was singing about drugs. He’s stated in many interviews that it is not.
 
No, not every song has to be Christian or about something Christian. But a creation of art, whether it’s a song, drawing or a book, comes from within the person making it. When I found out that “Strawberry Fields” was about drugs, I listened to the lyrics differently. It wasn’t about strawberries, as in fruit. Too bad.

When I sing along to something, I really feel it. And when I say the words, I want to be saying something I can relate to, from a Catholic point of view.
