I ran across some Beatles cassettes (look it up) I haven’t listened to in ages & I find the ones I like best aren’t their big hits but The Taxman and what has to be one of the catchiest tunes I ever heard, When I’m Sixty-Four.

Anybody else have Bealtes favs? Sorry to say I really didn’t pay attention to them when they were at their height.

At the moment, my fave is “Dear Prudence”.

But I’ve changed the lyrics to suit my cat so I sing to him “Dear Brutus…won’t you come up and plaaaaaaay ayyyyy haaaay?”

😃

“She’s Leaving Home” has been one of my favorites for a while now. It doesn’t get a lot of air play and I first heard it as a cover by another band, but I really like that song. 👍

Let it be

The long and winding road

Eleanor Rigby

Let it be

Strawberry fields

Let it be

(I really like let it be)

and Here comes the sun.

Despite being only 26 and not liking the “Boy band” type at all, I adore the beatles.

I’m Down
The Two of Us
I’ll Follow the Sun
All Together Now (wonderful little kid song)
Something
and on and on

Always loved George Harrison’s WHILE MY GUITAR GENTLY WEEPS.
There is a hauntingly beautiful slower version of this on the Beatles Anthology triple disc white album.

I was fortunate enough to be watching the Ed Sullivan Show that Sunday night way back when I was a seventh grader and the Beatles made their USA TV performance debut. They were great musicians.

Ever notice though how their troubles seemed to have escalated right after John Lennon made his
infamous remark that they were more famous than Jesus Christ. Was that Divine Providence?

“Here Comes the Sun” and I like all of their songs but the earlier ones are groovy man. They are THE band and all of their songs are “Far Out”. I thought of a little of the lingo we knew back then would bring back memories. Peace and Love to everyone and keep on Truckin.

Tomorrow Never Knows
Within You Without You
Strawberry Fields Forever
The Inner Light
Two of Us
Revolution #9
Across the Universe
Get Back

I love so many of the Beatles songs, but a few that I love and I think are not as “popular” are:

Julia
I Will
Blackbird
I’ll Follow the Sun

I could go on…

Savoy Truffle is my favorite song by The Beatles. I like all of their music.

I have often found that the songs I most enjoy of a certain band are not their popular songs played on the radio.

One Beatles song I really enjoy that doesn’t seem to get fanfare is I Need You.

“Get Back” is my favorite.

“Rocky Raccoon” is also hilarious, IMO.

Ain’t She Sweet?
All my loving
Can’t buy me love
I will
Let it be
Till there was you
Let it be
You really got a hold on me.

I too really like “let it be” 😃

I just love it when the younger generation gets into “our” music. I had every album that was sold in the US, sold them when we had some medical bills, for quite a tidy sum incidentally since it was a complete set, wonder what it would be worth today, oh well, I have the songs I care most about on my computer.

I love the Rubber Soul and Revolver albums

Taxman, Eleanor Rigby, Tomorrow Never Knows, Norwegian Wood, Girl, Think for yourself and of couse Michelle
Heres another one: The Word

My late fiancé was a musician and used to perform I Saw Her Standing There and* Get Back* with his band. He also used to sing–to me alone–Here Comes the Sun and Let It Be.

Greetings:

I’ve always thought “Because” (Abby Road) was very insightful and thought it would make a wonderful opening song for The Prodigal Planet (my first work of fiction, when it becomes a movie).
