It is very hard to find photos online of any of the Parish Churches in the Diocese of Toledo. Is anyone else finding that to be true in their Diocese? St. Michael the Archangel, on of the newest Parish churches, has a banner of changing photos … and that is the most that is findable.
findlaystmichael.org/ This Parish is probably quite near to what one can come to when building a new Parish Church with everything that is beautiful of the old-style churches. (They still have their smaller Parish church.) My own Parish church used architectural elements of the old that was torn down. With some side altars, and stained glass, that beautiful but plain church that was posted, would be more to all of our liking. Just like I am used to paintings on the wall at home … I know someone who prefers bare walls!

I cannot find interior shots of San Agustin, let alone any other church in my diocese. However, San Antonio has a plethora of them.
 
The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Brownsville TX
The second grandest cathedral in South Texas, after Corpus Christi Cathedral. Sorry I found no interior photos. Photos are from the Diocese of Brownsville webpage. This photo doesn’t do justice to the Cathedral.

Corpus Christi Cathedral in Corpus Christi, TX. The grandest cathedral in South Texas and the only one constructed to be a cathedral. The picture doesn’t do her justice. She is built on a bluff near the coast. People in Corpus Christi refer to their Cathedral as a “her.” Best not argue with them.

My parish–St. Joseph Church in Edinburg TX. If you check out the churches in the Rio Grande Valley, you will see the Oblates of Mary Immaculate’s handiwork. St. Joseph’s, the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Brownsville, Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mission, Immaculate Heart of Mary in Harlingen, Sacred Heart in McAllen, Sacred Heart in Edinburg, Our Lady of Guadalupe in Brownsville, the Shrine in San Juan, and dozens other churches are examples of the beautiful loving architecture of the OMIs.

And St. Joe’s simple but elegant interior. The altar piece is marble. We used to have an altar that matched the altar piece but our previous pastor–who has since been booted from the priesthood–had it removed.

I LOVE Notre Dame in Montreal!!! When I saw it for the first time in 1972 (I was prepared for it by seeing a picture in a book we ordered from National Geographic) I was stunned! I went to Mass there in 1974, when my mother and I took a vacation to Montreal.

I always call it “Mary’s House”!

Does anyone remember the Luciano Pavarotti Christmas program from there on PBS? The church was packed!

One thing I forgot to mention is that the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Brownsville, Texas, has the distinction of having been the cathedral of two dioceses. It was the seat of the Vicariate Apostolic of Brownsville before it became the Diocese of Corpus Christi, and then the Diocese of Brownsville.

The Blessed Sacrament chapel is also beautful.

The Cathedral sits on a bluff and you could see the Gulf of Mexico. It is a magnificent view.

You might not know this, but, San Agustin Cathedral was also the see for Bishop Verdegauer. He took up residence here and died in Laredo. In fact, he is buried at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. There is a stained glass window depicting him. I keep telling folks that it’s not St. Augustine of Hippo on that window; it’s Bishop Verdeguer.

I wish I could find a picture of the window on the internet, but, we don’t have any interior shots of the Cathedral. 😦

But it was still the Vicariate Apostolic of Brownsville. So you had it named after Brownsville and most of the time it was based in Brownsville, a couple of bishops took residence in Laredo and, when it got upgraded, it was moved to Corpus.

The only reason it wound up in Corpus was because of the power of Kenedy and King (of the famous King Ranch) families, according to the *vejitas *in Brownsville. Time eventually vindicated Brownsville and Laredo as they got their sees.

Typical of South Texas…totally confusing.

Here is the only one, that had a photo gallery … because there was a celebration of their 175th anniversary. This Parish was founded for the Irish Catholic immigrant population of Tiffin, Ohio. It does not have a long aisle. It does have a choir loft and a Rose window. Saint Mary’s Catholic Parish:

My Parish in Fostoria has kept all of the artwork from the old building, but, the statues were repainted with pastel colors and anything else, like the stations were rejuvenated … I can’t show it though!
 
Here is the outside of St. Mary’s, Tiffin, OH.
(It is beautifully lit outside, during Christmastime.)
