Aside from the Blessed Sacrament, the Mass, Our Lords sacrifice and Resurrection I think one of my most favorite signs and exclamation of ones faith and trust in God is the brown Scapular and the promise Our Lady of Mt. Carmel gave St. Simon Stock “Whosoever dies wearing it shall not suffer eternal fire. It shall be a sign of salvation, a protection in danger and pledge of peace.”

According to the Vatican’s Congregation for Divine Worship, the Brown Scapular is “an external sign of the filial relationship established between the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother and Queen of Mount Carmel, and the faithful who entrust themselves totally to her protection, who have recourse to her maternal intercession, who are mindful of the primacy of the spiritual life and the need for prayer.”

I have noticed personally that wearing hate Brown scapular I have a deeper fondness of Our Lady and her powerful intercession and desire to avoid sin.
