I just want to take a moment and share how incredibly blessed I feel today, having had the opportunity to experience the Palm/Passion Sunday liturgy and to listen to the gospel of our Saviour’s incredible sacrifice for us.
There is so much negativity in the world (and often here on CAF) that I think we sometimes forget to stop and be thankful for the many, many blessings we have. Even little opportunities that are offered to us to reach out to our neighbours in the pews - I spent quite a lot of time in the past couple of days explaining over and over how to tie crosses from palms, and got to experience even more joy from giving out the forty or fifty that I tied last night. For me it’s such a simple task, but for someone unable to make one, it is a precious gift. How many other simple things do we overlook, missing the precious gifts that they have become?
