**The Bible is read aloud at every Catholic Mass, every day, throughout the world and then the verses read, are explained in a Homily, given by a Catholic Priest. **

The Bible is a Catholic Book!

**All of the prayers and songs used in a Catholic Mass, come from the Bible. **

The Bible is a Catholic Book!

The Bible was collected, preserved, protected, translated and passed down by the Catholic Church!

The Bible was written and re-written for hundreds of years by Catholic scribes (the printing press was not invented until 1563).

The Bible is a Catholic Book!

Books were titled, place in a specific order, and many writings were reject by the Catholic Church.

The Bible is a Catholic Book!

If you were a Christian for the first 1500 years of Christianity, you were a Catholic.

The Bible is a Catholic Book!

The Bible as we know it today, is based on a Catholic book, approve by Catholic Counsels and by Catholic Popes!

Everything in the Bible, Old Testament and New Testament, in one way or another, when understood in context, points toward Jesus Christ and support’s Catholic doctrine.

Any questions?

I don’t NEED to reread it. Whatever the label on the door of the church building, wherever Christians are there is the church. There are different groups because people aren’t perfect and people disagree on certain things but all true Christians are going to agree on certain things, also. Some of the differences aren’t even on doctrine, some are simply about worship preferences. Catholics don’t all agree with each other on everything, by the way.
(Snip)
First may I point out that while “All Catholics” don’t agree on everything, The Catholic Church DOES. The adherance of individuals to the Church’s teachings is another matter altogether.

Since you believe that the “church” is simply the gathering of any group of believers, regardless of thier denominational affiliation, I invite you to consider this.

Matthew 16: 15-18
15 "If your brother sins, go and show him his fault in private; if he listens to you, you have won your brother. 16 "But if he does not listen to you, take one or two more with you, so that by the mouth of two or three witnesses every fact may be confirmed. 17 "If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church (Singular); and if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector. 18 "Truly I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven.

So, if what you say is true, then “Taking it to the Church” would be completed in step two where “Two or three witnesses” are called upon and no third step would be required. But Christ did establish a third step, telling His disciples to submit such obstinate disputes to “The Church’ for resolution and that they must accept The Church’s judgment as final.

Jimmy,
While I sometimes have issues with your style, this post is great.

I voted yes because if not for the Catholic Church we’d have no Bible as the Catholic Church put it together and separated the wheat from the chaff (no matter what Elaine Pagels thinks)

The Bible is a Catholic book.It is Gods love letter to his beloved
bride. There is a lot of Scripture that is Inspired by God.That is useful for reproving and teaching that are not in the Bible. Example
Gospel of Thomas,Letters of Clement,Shepard of Hermes,Pope
encyclicals. What makes Scripture, Scripture,Is that it is for the Liturgy. The Mass.THE LITURGY OF THE WORD and THE
LITURGY OF THE EUCHARIST.First God sweet talks his bride
the Church with the WORD. Then he offers us “HIS BRIDE” his
Life giving love In the in the HOLY EUCHARIST. WE then go forth and receive HIM. BODY,BLOOD,SOUL,and DIVINITY. This is how
HE and HIS BRIDE “THE CHURCH” consumate this marriage.
The Bible is Catholic because Christ calls the whole universe to be
his LOVING BRIDE and RECEIVE HIS LIFE GIVING LOVE.
Jn 6: 57-58 I who am sent by the living Father, myself draw life
from the Father,so whoever eats me will draw life from me.
This is the bread come down from heaven;not like the bread our
ancestors ate: they are dead, but anyone who eats this bread
will live forever. THAT IS WHY HIS KINGDOM WHICH WE WILL INHERIT WILL HAVE NO END.

It is God’s book and it is meant for everyone, it isn’t explicitly a Catholic book, although it does hold the teaching that the Church follows

It is the Book of the earliest writings in the Christian (read universal, read catholic) Church. It was assembled, protected and defended, copied, read, taught, and disseminated by the Catholic Church as part of Her Sacred Tradition for a thousand years before the Protestant reformation tried to remove it from that Tradition. I’d say that that qualifies it as a “Catholic” book.

The bible is the Word Of The Living God. The Bible is His- story…

Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever. Psalm 119: 160** The words of the Lord are pure words**: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. **Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. **Psalm 12:6-7

(Deut. 13:5) God does not allow for any mistakes or error. He is pure - He is holy - He is perfect - He is truth.Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. John 17:17

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: (2 Ti 3:16)

If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings… John 14:23-24

Only God is perfect and only God’s Word is perfect because man is a sinner and, therefore, man’s words cannot be perfect.

For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because,
when ye received **the word of God **which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God… 1 Thessalonians 2:13

Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.” Colossians 2:8

The bible is The word of God not the word of a religious organization.

John 12:48. He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

Praise The LORD and His Holy Name.

I love Gods word it never changes. He is the same yesterday, today and forever.👍

The Bible is a Catholic Book…

Therefore, everything in the Bible, in one way or another supports Catholicism. Ignorance of Catholicism is ignorance of the Bible.

Your thoughts?
I agree Jimmy. As a former protestant, this is something I definitely could not say:

The Bible is a Protestant Book…

Therefore, everything in the Bible, in one way or another supports Protestantism. Ignorance of Protestantism is ignorance of the Bible.

Of course I mean no disrespect to protestantism…
