I am referring to Corinthians 15:33 where St Paul warns us against immoral company.
How does the Church make sense of this. Does that mean we should not be friends with people who are openly leading sinful lifestyles e.g. friends who are living impurely?

Being friends with them to a degree. loving them and trying to help them is what Our lord wants, but not to get caught up in their lifestyle and act as tho its OK. We are to be in the world but not OF the world. They should be able to tell, by your lifestyle and your beliefs that you do not condone what they are doing. I think we are all in that kind of situation. I have nieces and nephews that are in that kind of lifestyle and while they know I love them, they also know I don’t agree with how they are living. Some have even gotten their lives in order and have married in the Church. One of my greatest joys was when my niece and her husband got their marriage Blessed and he became a Catholic. On their wedding day he introduced me to his Deacon as the reason why he is Catholic today and why we’re all here. I thank God for all the Graces bestowed on them. God Bless, Memaw

There would be no conversions if we did not befriend “sinners”!!!
(In quotes because everybody is a sinner).

Not to mention we would not be living like our LORD!

Salt does not do its job sitting in its canister, but by being poured onto what it preserves.

However, if some of our associations are leading us toward wrongdoing, or into occasion of sin, they should be dropped. Salt must not be allowed to lose its tang!

So as long as our friendships/associations don’t influence us to sin then it’s fine…? That’s what I initially thought

I still wanted to clarify if the Church had any teaching on this verse.
