Whoa! Chill out!

Why all the hostility? All I did was ask a question.

So you contacted the Bishop, have you received a reply?
I’m not sure what it is you want now. Do you want all the nitty-gritty details?
Is that really your right if there is no criminal activity?
The man’s health status, physical, mental or spiritual is really not any of your business, so again, what exactly are you looking for?

I have been through this more times than I wish to count in the past few years. Some priests get treatment and come back, some move on and live whole, new lives. It sucks, because they were/are all wonderful men who where very holy priests, but sadly, that is life.

All we can do is pray for our priests & bishops and for more vocations.

Yes, and the quick exits are explained.

Sorry that you do not like the explaination, but, that is the world we live in. People LOVE to gossip.

Maybe he was visited by an albino monk from Opus Dei.

Wooooo … conspiracies abound.

Innocent until proven guilty.

Likewise again!

Do you seriously not see the log in your own eye?

I have not contacted the bishop… never said I did. I’m composing a letter. Would you really like to read it and any response I receive or are you just here to argue?

I am not interested in details. Not my business. Since post #1 and have reiterated I only have an issue with the wording of the letter. Was that not clear? Please read this again so it is clear. I don’t know many times I have to repeat myself so you people understand…

It’s ONLY this letter that has sparked controversy and concern!
Well, based solely on your user name, I am speculating it is in the Diocese of El Paso. If I am wrong, please disregard. While I do not know your Bishop personally ( I met him a couple if times), he was a well known priest and pastor in our diocese for his whole career prior to going to El Paso. He had a very good reputation and was well respected by all. You can be assured of his good judgement.

ETA: while I completely agree none of your posts should have been flagged, you are to some extent over reacting to other’s posts. OTOH, I find that understandable simply due to the flagging and censorship you have received. It is an ongoing problem on this forum. Some forum mbers seem to want to chase off all but we’ll established posters. That is shameful.
Not El Paso.

Thanks for a thoughtful reply. This forum is plagued with toxic posters. I participate in a few forums and never have an issue in others but this one has been a head ache every single time. My fault for coming back every 6 months…

The insult followed by a blessing a classic move here…It’s very objectionable behavior.

I get it, you don’t like the letter. You told us what you would do.
OK, now what?
And again, all I am doing is trying to have a conversation.
I don’t agree with you that the Bishop’s letter was lacking. I might have worded it differently too, I don’t know because I don’t know the whole story.

Ultimately you have done/are doing what you can.
I have done all I can here too.
Sorry of I upset you. Peace be with you on your journey.
