The Book of Enoch was not written by Enoch. It is believed to have been composed in the range of 300 BC - 100 BC. The Book of Enoch, while accepted as Scripture by a few small groups, was never widely accepted by either Jews or early Christians as inspired Scripture. Though widely known in Jewish circles it was not accepted into the “official” Hebrew (Tanakh) or Greek (Septuagint) canons.
