In my Bible study, we are studying the Word of Hebrews.
During our last meeting, we read the passage in Hebrews that spoke of tears in Heaven and how God will wipe them away. Are these tears going to be in Heaven because we will know our sins after Christ has told them to us in the Book of Life and we will be weeping because of our shame and that maybe we are not afforded many Crowns?
Or do these tears mean that when we arrive in Heaven, that God will wipe the tears of our earthly suffering away upon arrival?

Thanks

I always took it to be sort of symbolic of having no more pain and sorrow in heaven. I guess I would agree with the latter idea you state

I believe this verse is in Revelations. 21:4.

The New Jerusalem

1Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
