Is there a gospel according to Mary Magdelene?
There is a theory that
The Gospel of John was written by Mary of Magdala. Whilst the evidence that supports this theory is circumstantial, it does give one pause. (You can count the number of serious Bible scholars who support this theory on one hand, with fingers left over.)
However, the facebook entry is more likely to be referring to a text known as
The Gospel of Mary of Magdala, which was first identified in the Nag Hammadi Scrolls. Roughly half a dozen pages are missing from the extant texts. Unfortunately, those pages are crucial in setting up the context of the pages that do survive.
Whilst this document does echo material in both the Gospel of John, and Book of Revelations, – and one of the Pauline Epistles, but I’ve forgotten which one

— its theology is not congruent with that which contemporary Christianity understands as “Christian Theology and Doctrine”. Ecclesia Gnostica uses it during their liturgy, but that organisation does not consider it to be canonical.
