One full year restraining order went into effect a couple weeks ago after I went to court.
The perp was also present. Made me very nervous, but the deputy that I made the original complaint through was present and gave me confidence.
The judge was SO COOL. He listened to both our stories, and then he just LAID INTO THE PERP BIG TIME!!
I am pretty sure the judge has had experience with this guy before as he came down very hard on him.
I was entirely relieved after the hearing. Have basically tried to sweep it from my mind otherwise. But we do take extra precautions around here regarding our own security.

I’m a marine chemist. I look at how corals and algae make compounds that can be used (potentially) to benefit humans and other critters. Sorry for the jargon, but I’m at work now and in mad scientist mode. 😃

Geez-Louise . . . I cannot get this to work. GGGRRRRR. I think it is an operator error, but I wish I could blame it on the computer.
