Well I will not get in a agree with you but I got this from Ask an Apologist about one year ago and from my Church The Priest last week
 
There is indeed a pious Christian speculation that John the Baptist was freed from sin when he was filled with the Holy Spirit in his mother’s womb (cf. Luke 1:15, 41-44), but this is not something the Church has declared to be doctrine. The Church certainly has not taught that John the Baptist was baptized in his mother’s womb, if by that is meant the kind of baptism that babies receive after birth.

All I can say is about 1 year ago I ask “Ask an Apologist” and later My Cathloic priest about this question and this is what I was told,it I am wrong,I am sorry

Hey Bill, nothing wrong with believing that John was born without sin, I believe it too! All I’m saying is that belief is not Doctrine in the Church. Since the Church is silent on this teaching, you and I and everyone else is free to believe it or not. 😉
 
All i meant was that this has never been defined by the Church, but it was also never pronounced as incorrect. John the Baptist may very well have been without actual sin. We don’t know, because it has not been revealed.

ricko, with all do repect this is what Ask an Apologist told me and the priest at my Church…Thats the best I can do, Sorry
 
Lets try this First of all, we do not know that John the Baptist was born without sin. That is a theological speculation based upon Luke 1:15, 41-44 but it is not a doctrine that the Church requires Catholics to believe in the same way that they are required to believe that Mary was conceived without sin.

As for Jesus’ sinlessness, we would say that he was conceived and born without sin because he is God and, as God, it is impossible for him to sin. He was not saved from sin, as were Mary, John the Baptist, and all of us; he is the Savior of all from sin.

Memory is a weird thing. We think we remember exactly what was said, but our memories aren’t like tape recorders. We forget. We add detail. Leave detail out. We combine events. We even remember things that didn’t happen! (I had a young niece who insisted that she remembered her grandfather. She had heard so many stories about him, that she developed her own “memory” of him. He died before she was born.

Interesting stuff, memory.
 
From a previous thread an interesting question has been raised:

If the Catholic Church’s teaching is not in line with Christ’s teaching wouldn’t that make Christ a liar since he built his Church on St Peter and proclaimed the gates of Hades would not prevail against it?

There are those who would say “well the truth is found in the bible”, ingorantly of how the bible came into being. All of Christendom rely’s on the authority of the Catholic Church, and it’s tradition to know what is true. The difference is that most protistant faiths don’t realize it.

None of the Church’s teaching is out of line with Christ’s teaching. There are some who would claim that it is, but what those people end up arguing is the the Church’s teaching is out of line with their interpretation of Christ’s teaching. It boils down to authority. Does one trust their own judgement, or submit to the Kingdom Jesus established on earth?

Well I,m not that bad but its getting that way,age,age it just keep coming at you and you can not stop it, Thats the first error,the last error was in 1987

I don’t count Joseph because it was mearly an early Christian theory which has since died out (at least mostly), and Christ being God/Man isn’t counted in the same sense as Mary… Jesus wasn’t just born with a speacial Grace… Jesus was born God as well as man, he was born able to bestow Grace.

Jesus was conceived without original sin and was therefore immaculately conceived.
