Welcome, If you ask nice questions and don’t tell people who answer you that they are “wrong” you should do OK here.

The Catholic bashers are lead by Satan and we all know that! We pray for everyone even them. Many of them are 'fallen away" Catholics that “must” hate the Catholic Church to justify their leaving. Normally they couldn’t accept a truth and felt that they would shop for a denomination that allowed their sin.

There are 33,000 Protestant denominations with 28,000 sub denominations teaching 1,375 doctrines and dogmas so it isn’t hard to find someone that agrees with your ideas. Then there are the non-committed “christians” who Jesus will also reject at judgement time!

I recommend you read a real bible. I am not joking. There are presently a little over 100 versions of the bible, not counting translations published in different languages. The SDAs just rewrote three different versions for some strange reason.

The KJV underwent many ‘rewrites" from the mid 1500s until 3,600 “errors” were corrected in the 1800s. These were errors from the Bible that they got from the Catholic Church that they didn’t agree with! :eek: . So start with a Catholic Bible. To learn about our faith you need to pray. When you read the Bible realize it was written when the Catholic chuirch was the only church. The counterfeit denominations came within the past 500 years. Before 1517AD, there was One Christian Church “ONE” with several different sects. (They are still firmly together even today! ).
The Bible must be interpreted through the Holy Spirit. Only the CC can do that correctly. Others try but are blinded to the truth.
Of the 61,000 denominations, the only thing they all agree on is :The Catholic Church is Wrong! Who would want everyone to be against Jesus’ real church? Who would want to tear people away from the truth? We think it is Satan. People say “I am a Christian!”
If someone said I am a Policeman or I am a Rocket Scientist. If they did not have the authorization and approval of the proper authorities they would be liars or at worse might even be insane to believe those things. They could wear the clothes, read the books, do everything that is done by policemen or rocket scientists but that would still not make them such.

People mistakenly say not to judge. In Matthews verse 7 it is hypocritical judgment that this Scripture condemns. In verse 6 and 13-15 Christ actually instructs us make judgments.

To be a Christian, is to fully follow Jesus and his teachings The most important being ~ John 6:47-54.

😃 I guess it was just a matter of time. I just want to say how charitable and kind you all were in your replies. I failed miserably on that score in another thread with him. 😦 I’m still learning I guess, but I had him pinned as a troll from the get go. I looked up pastor jim - as I thought he sounded a bit like him but I dont think he was him. The name avenger pointed to someone that was banned comming back with another username. Oh well. Doesnt matter now I guess. 😃

I** thought for a while it was “justAsking4” but this guy actually seems like he wants to get banned. 18 posts a day saying insulting and angry things. He said he was a Catholic for 34 years. Another basher once said that, can’t remember who it was.

Anyway lets all pray for Avenger, by any name. Lord Jesus, please enter the heart of the poster called Avenger and give his spirit rest. You know all our faults and weaknesses look not on what we deserve, but what you have earned for us and grant us peace and happiness. Amen!**

There you have it. Words straight from the Bible. Do you claim to follow the Bible and all of its teachings? If so, you had better not spread lies and calumnize others. Make sure of what you speak is truth only, and not some false teaching you received from a secondary source. If you want to find the truth about something you have to go to the source and not to someone outside of that source who may be biased. If you want to learn the truth of what the Catholic Church teaches, then go to the source.

A few reasons why some people would rather not search for the truth…

They have a closed mind.

They are afraid of what they may find.

They have a fear of the unknown.

They are set in their ways and fear change.

Their pride is greater than their desire for the truth. It is human nature, not to want to admit to a mistake.

They have a habit of automatically condemning something of which they know nothing.

Unfortunately Avenger I think all these points adove belong to you.

You may want to analize your own posts, after a good examination of conscience.

I must have misunderstood, there are several places in the Bible where Paul is refered to as an apostle. 1 Timothy 2:7 Paul says that he was appointed preacher and apostle, teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.

Paul was not one of the original 12 apostles.
He still was a “chosen vessel” unto God as an apostle to the Gentiles. He was no less equal to Peter as an apostle and church elder. Paul did quite a scolding against Peter, when Peter was out of line.
Paul had special revelations from God that made him a great apostle and preacher. Peter commended Paul as “our beloved brother” who had written according to the wisdom given him by God.

Paul is not one of the 12 and you are correct. He is however. The Apostle of the Gentiles.

No one condemn you being white, a farmer, a Confederate, or a philosopher. Catholics here only condemned the liberal and erroneous doctrines of Sola Scriptura.

Answer these Questions:
  1. Where in the Bible does it say we do not need the Church?
  2. Does the Bible say that the Church is the Bride of Christ?
  3. Did Jesus say that if any man sin against and you try to correct him, and if he does not listen, the Lord said, “take it to the Church?”
Second point, there is no condemnation to those who are in Christ, who adhere to the Ten Commandments and are obedient to Jesus Christ commandment. If you live outside the Ten Commandments, a Christian is condemned.

I would also like to say that just because a Christian becomes born again and believes in OSAS and thinks he can freely live in sinful life because Jesus Christ did it all, he can justify his actions.

My friend, a saved Christian can fall back into sin even if he is saved. When he does fall, he needs to repent, confess his sins and re-establish his relationship with God.

Someone who claims that he does not need a Church and worship in a Church just because he has a the Bible, contradict all this.

The Ten Commandments requires us to “Remember the Sabbath and keep it Holy.” For Christians, this means worship on Sunday. To avoid going to worship as a Christian is breaking the Commandment given to us by Jesus Christ.

These are Commandments NOT the Ten Suggestions. It does not imply that “I don’t feel like going to Service today I think I’ll stay at home.” This makes a Christian a hyprocrite if he does not go to Church on Sunday.

ChristianKnight maybe a “Christian” but he is a hyprocrite by disobeying one of the Ten Commandments.

Cause if I “moved” it be called running away, and the law would be after me. Thought about it a lot, and I could get away and go anywhere cause my uncles would allow me to stay with them, and they all live on farms, or at least, hobby farms.

Well, what’s wrong with working on a farm? That is very productive if not to say very hard work. Please tell me why you would not be liked where you live, I am confused.
