Masons are not exclusively Christian - just a belief in a Supreme Being.

I am not so sure that the Masons, as an organization, would defend Christianity per se. In Alabama, they have defended all kinds of other things, but not the Faith.

Raphinal, making the bowdown sign to your friend here, a Methodist, really tells me a lot about you as a Catholic.
And what does it tell you? That i think a Methodist can be right about something? It should. They can. This may shock you, but even a satanist can be correct. It does not mean that they are correct theologically, or even morally, but they can still be correct.

When you start automatically blocking out others because of a difference in creed, you may miss out on spiritual insight that may help you grow.

Tell me, is it possible for a non-Catholic to ever be correct about anything related to faith and morals?

You know, I don’t have a dog in this hunt, and Ralphinal doesn’t need (and might not want) me to defend him, but I can’t let this go by without commenting.

In reading Ralph’s posts of the last few months, I have found him to be first and foremost, a Catholic through and through who defends his faith with vigor and knowledge. But he also defends it with grace, charity, and tolerance. He is the kind of Catholic who keeps me coming here to hear what good Catholics believe and say, and I try to learn from it.

On the contrary, that Ralph should have his faith as a Catholic questioned for showing honor to a  Methodist who well stated an opinion he shares speaks far more (and negatively) about the accuser.

Your anger against non-catholics seems outdone only by your anger against Catholics who do not share your views lockstep.

Mr. Donahue defends the Church using his own God given style and personality but he is doing something…anything but submit to unjustified attacks. To call the man rude because he defends vigorously is unfair and inaccurate. John the Baptist was thought to be rude…so what?

How many bishops are on the two boards of the Catholic League?

I am honored that you think I am so kind to those who disagree. I always feel that I am not charitable enough.

**Although the League was founded in 1973 by a Jesuit Father Virgil C. Blum, there are no bishops on the board (strange question from you), although several bishops make personal donations.
It is not part of the Archdiocese of N.Y., but it rents an office on the same floor as the headquarters of the Archdiocese. Cardinal O’Connor vacated part of his suite for it’s expanding operations.

There are 350,000 members that belong to the Catholic League.
And?**

It does not seem strange that there are no bishops with over-sight?

No it doesn’t, they still make personal donations. Apparently they support it. And since being on the same floor as the headquarters as the Archdiocese, I am sure someone can overlook it, and?
