The CDF's assessment of LCWR - what are some faithful women religious groups?

In light of the recent CDF approval to assess the Leadership Conference of Women Religious, I thought it would be good to have listed some of the women religious groups faithful to the Church. What are some?

The average age of the DSMs is 28, and the average age of entrance is 21!

I think any list like this is most unwise and unfair. By inference any order not listed or suggested would be assumed by some to be in a state ranging from heresy to virtual schism, and that’s totally unfair to good and holy women who are surely to be found within EVERY order. It’s close to religious McCarthyism.

I think we are reading a bit too much into the OP. It is an innocent thread. I think we often get too uptight about things, as if internet forums are something amounting to a formal declaration. We need to calm down. Personally, I often feel that if I don’t include a five paragraph disclaimer on my posts, people are going to start picking them apart and demonizing me.

Why do I get the sense that there is something more here than just your ordinary, run-of-the-mill traditional communities of nuns?

I took a glimpse at that document. “Radical Feminism” ? There was such a problem of the presence of Feminism in some cases that it wasn’t sufficient to merely denounce it as Feminism, but even as “** Radical **” Feminism ? Or are we to understand that Feminism, so long as it isn’t “radical”, is permissible?

Personally, I have not contact with nuns now, so can’t name any orders. However, I am quite sure there are many, many that are faithful to the Magisterium and adher to Catholic Doctrine and teachings. A few rotten apples are in the barrel, and I am glad that there is an investigation underway now. I watched the best analysis of this situation on Word on Fire. A video of Fr. Robert Barron gives some wonderful insights into what has happened and is happening to put things in perspective. i reccommend you look this one up and read the additional commentary. the LCWR was founded by papal authority and it is only right that investigative work take place in light of some of the recent more glaring statements made by certain nuns and by invited speakers at their conventions that were totally outside the realm of any Cahtolic teachings.
