I could not get the link to load though it may just be my laptop being slow. It seems to be a very common occurrence among non Catholic families. When someone wishes to convert to Christ’s One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church, sadly, the reception is usually one of skepticism and disbelief. In some instances you hear families are outraged. In other instances, though it seems (in my personal experience) that a minority are supportive. It has less to do with the faith background of the family itself, and more to do with each individual person. Protestants are some of the most zealous Christians (at least they can be) out there. Though that doesn’t detract from the reality that their understanding of Christ and His Church is deficient in that no matter what they learn at their faith community, they will never learn the Truth of Christ and His Church (unless they study Scriptures and Church history independently). St. John Cardinal Henry Newman said it the best. “Too be deep in history is to cease being protestant”. I found this to be particularly true for me as I credit my conversion to these very forums and the resulting private study it encouraged me to pursue. May God Bless all who decide to adhere to His will and come home to Him in His One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. May they face adversity with humility and love, that they might be a beacon for Christ’s light to bring their fallen away family members home to Him and His Truth. God Bless!
