Whatever one thinks of Florence and its true meaning or rather reinterpretation, multiply the difficulty of doing such with the last two Catholic ecumenical councils by 1000.
IMHO, you can multiply the difficulty of doing such with the last two councils by 0.75.

Vatican II defined no dogmas, so I don’t see how it can be placed on the same level of difficulty as Vatican I? Specifically in regards to papal primacy, VII elaborated on VI’'s definition to include a more balanced understanding of collegiality. VII clarified that all bishops are truly vicars of Christ Himself, and not mere deputies of the pope.

Most of the stuff that comes out of this commission belongs only to the commission and are agreement made by members of the commission alone unless specifically endorsed by Rome which normally isn’t done. People need to realize that this commission seeks to break down barriers and gain a better understanding of each other but really everything that comes out from it really belongs to the commission and isn’t authoritative at all.

For example , on the Vaticans site , it speaks of the Ravenna document on the " ECCLESIOLOGICAL AND CANONICAL CONSEQUENCES
OF THE SACRAMENTAL NATURE OF THE CHURCH" saying :

"The following is the original English text of the ‘Ravenna Document’ which was discussed and unanimously approved by the members of the Joint International Commission for the Theological Dialogue between the Roman Catholic Church and the Orthodox Church during the tenth plenary session of the Commission held in Ravenna from 8-14 October 2007. Thus, the document represents the outcome of the work of a Commission and should not be understood as an official declaration of the Church’s teaching"

Thank you my friend!
I had just seen some recent adds to this conversation and while re-reading through this thread, I thought about also sending you an invite to the Facebook group, Ask an Orthodox Hipster. I see you’re already in the group though- Welcome! AAOH is a really friendly place and though I am a Latin Rite Catholic, I never feel out of place or a second class member there.
