The Christian ethic vs the Catholic ethic

My thoughts to other prominent Catholics, same post card type idea:

Verisimilitude - if you take such action in standing up against abortion, you will receive a great many blessings! Your approach is highly constructive without being attacking or derogatory in any way. It deals with the issue, conveys a clear standpoint and will make the recipients think.

It is this sort of action that pleases God. You have my strong support from the southern tip of Africa. Well done for taking practical constructive action…

I think accusing someone of being ‘lacking in personal integrity’ and of ‘hubris’ will not achieve anything useful, and will in fact be perceived as both attacking and derogatory, and more importantly will give the reader the perfect excuse to ignore you.

Apart from that particular sentence, they are fine. For the postcard to the justice, you may want to more explicitly state what the Catholic Church’s position on abortion actually is, citing the Catechism, Pope Benedict’s recent speech to Ms Pelosi about politicians and judges who materially support it and so on.

You can’t, sadly, assume that all Catholics are aware of such statements.

They promote themselves as well versed in the faith as well as civil law. I give them the benefit of the doubt and do not call them ignorant. They are free to correct me and admit their ignorance.

Lacking that ignorance, how would you define their public position on abortion? They have already offended me because they are ‘pro-choice Catholics’ in positions of authority. They already ignore what is clear Catholic Doctrine and their public actions are themselves attacking and derogatory.

There is only so much space on the cards and I wrote/edit/wrote/edit to as concise a message as I could that fit as well as conveyed my thoughts. I take it you would not sign and send such a card to if you saw them on a table after leaving Mass.

Its clear they do not value their Bishops, the Pope or the Church in this regard so I thought they might value more, as many cards voting Catholics would send to them. Let them join a non-Catholic Christian sect if they want to be a ‘pro-choice Christian’ as it is a free country, but my faith is not free in that regard.
