Hi all,

well I was watching a show (on the history channel nonetheless.) that was about Nazi’s escaping prosecution at the end of WWII. One of the ways some escaped was through the RCC. Now, the show dd show documents backing this claim up an it did seem… able to be trusted. But I mean, what’s the deal here? What did the Church do with Nazis? Any thoughts on this depressing issue?

Thank you in advance,

Have you done any research on your own? The situation at the end of the war was complex. The Vatican did not run an organization to help Nazis escape. However, certain nazis were deemed too important to prosecute, so the US took them in through an operation known as Paperclip.

Peace,
Ed
