It’s a frightening thought, but I feel to believe this is just giving in to the deception which is taking place. This, remember, is only the earth. It will be destroyed. Satan and his minions reign on the earth now, because he is determined to have as many souls as he can possibly grasp to be brought down into hell with him for all eternity. It just appears we are on the losing side, because of everything that is taking place now, but in the end, Satan will lose, and it is Mary’s heel which will crush his head. To those who feel discouraged, that is why I’ve written this thread. Don’t be fooled. It’s the way Satan wants us to think. He is the Father of Lies. Don’t be fooled. Satan only wants and is trying his hardest for every soul on earth to feel this way, so we surrender, and die the spiritual death.

Thanks for posting this! This is just what I needed to be reminded of now!!

The power is God’s alone.
Christ said He would never abandon His church to destruction.
Have courage. Yes, many will be deceived, but God will prevail and in the end, Satan will be destroyed. Fear not.

Fear not.

I know what the bible says about this…satan WILL loose in the end, but what does it mean if he manages to ‘con’ the majority of people into either following him, or turning away from God? The bible admits that not that many will make it to heaven, that is a pretty drastic claim to make.

Plus, if Satan was able to succeed at turning more people away from God than those that choose to follow God…how would satan come up with the short end of the stick in the end, seems like he will have won (depending on what your definition of ‘winning’ is I guess?)

I also have a very hard time believing Satan would choose a path, KNOWING God will beat him, this doesnt make sense.

Of course it doesn’t make sense.
Satan’s sin is vanity.
He simply thinks he’s better. Smarter.
As do all people who trample on the rights and well-being of others. They think they’re IT.
There are far more good people in the world than evil.
You just don’t get any press, my friend. 😉

Due to the sex abuse scandal in the Church, the Church has indeed lost moral credibility.

Power ?

I think the Church began losing power over people from the 60’s on, as people became skeptical of the control they had over their parents and grandparents.

Personally, I think the Church focused so much on managing sin, they forgot to teach about following Jesus.

The Catholic Church is the number one enemy of Satan and the secular world. The enemy wants to do everything to destroy the Church from both within and without.

As the Our Lady of Akita says,
“The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, bishops against bishops. The priests who venerate me will be scorned and opposed by their confreres…churches and altars sacked; the Church will be full of those who accept compromises and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord."
We currently see cardinals against cardinals, bishops against bishops …The message of Our Lady of Akita has been approved by the Church. We must pray for the Church as our lady of Akita told us.

I know. And I get so angry with those within the Church who perform this kind of abuse. What’s wrong with them? It just gives Catholics and the Church a bad name, and that’s just what we can’t afford right now. It just feeds the hatred that is already there for Catholics. They are within the Church…what are they doing abusing in the worst way possible? They just sicken me.

Amen.

I honestly never thought of this. That always scares me, that more will end up in Hell, although, from what I see, I believe it. Yet there are two contradictions here. One, that Satan loses in the end. He loses, yet he has more souls than God has. And, two, to say there is more good than evil in the world defies this. If there is more good, then wouldn’t more end up in Heaven?

That is why we must pray the Rosary but only few do heed her requests!
