So that they can say, “Islamic society is more moral than Western society”.

MW is in self delusion. She is blinded to the reality of Muslims problem with regards to moral. Perhaps because lots of these are supressed in her country.

I think it is due to her lack of inter-mixing with Westerners perhaps. I do not blame her entirely for her lack of understanding Western society since not many Bangladeshis can afford to travel, but what she must do is avoid relying on bigots like Dr Zakir Naik to educate her on Western morals and society.
 
Yes, i suspect Dr Zaik Nair maybe a huge fan of Lyndon LaRouche, a conspiracy theorist - does anybody remember him? Just as equally a nut-job, claiming Jazz musicians are devil worshipers.

That’s what I notice. Her state of brainwashed is so complete she will not even budge to acknowledge Christianity belief which has been explained to her. I too don’t believe that the average Muslim Arab cannot grasp metaphysic and the Western’s philosophy.

It also has become quite an embarrassment to witness this persistent ignorance of basic differentiation between Western morality with Christian morality.

No different than Lyndon LaRouche’s wacky world-view of the general society, morals, ethics and politics. Seriously JC, you should visit LaRouche’s website and read his rhetorics. Just as bizarre.

Such claims can be that in Muslim societies,
  • People aren’t going around having sex before marriage like Westerners do
  • Adultery isn’t so rampant like it is in the West
  • People aren’t getting drunk (Ok haven’t heard that one - but this one I can imagine being said)
  • Marriages are more stable and the likelihood of divorce is a lot less and pointing to the fact that the divorce rate in the U.S. is so high
  • Western civilization is more decadent than the Muslim world and has a lower standard of morality
  • Women are better protected

“More moral” by what standard ?​

Christianity =///= the West. Islam does not in principle separate state from religion - Christianity can, & often does (in the past, much of it did not - we no longer have that monstrosity a “Catholic state”; but that’s another story). Muslims look at the West with Muslim eyes: they do not make allowances for the fact that non-Muslim cultures have ideas about state & religion which are not Muslim ideas. So they look at the West as though it were Muslim, & what it thinks about itself is ignored. So they end by misunderstanding what Western Christianity is, & misjudge it as a result. 😦
