I hope I wasn’t callous and too uncharitable. I’m sure sorry if I was.
I love and respect the Jewish religion. I even wore for decades a Star of David along with my silver crucifix. I have no doubt that the good of God is found through the Jewish religion by those who sincerely seek it. Far be it from me to enter into a discussion that would not respect the Jewish beliefs

Not at all, Benadam. No need to apologize. I’m not here on a Catholic Forum to preach to the choir, obviously. Nor am I here to convert anyone. I enjoy religious discussion, (charitable) debate and intriguing posts such as yours.
 
Hope, one thing I’m pretty sure of, that the end for the world is not gonna happen before my personal end time. 😁
 
Just that life will be over. I’m very happy with my life just the way it is.
 
We were all happy with our life in the womb, yet we had to be pulled out to fully live.
 
The fear of something different or unknown is a hard burden. I too struggle with it. Studying “The Divine Mercy,” a bit, has helped. Maybe contemplating on that would help. God Bless!!
 
Hope God gives us life. We are told to be ready, As in the parable of the bridesmaids keeping their lamps trimmed.
Only God knows the hour of the end. Don’t listen or believe anyone else who claims to.
Hope do you pray the Liturgy of Hours at all.?
 
Hope the morning and evening prayer of the Church are truly lovely. They help us focus on the love of God. You might enjoy reading part of the Liturgy of Hours.
 
The thing is, Jesus doesn’t come until after the Jews repent. According to Zechariah it’s Christ suffering that brings about their repentance. So they must see Christ suffering before Christ will come in Glory. See the problem with thinking that Christ’s second coming will bring about the conversion of the Jews?
I think Zechariah’s prophecy is more likely fulfilled when the Jews mourn for Christ when they recognize that they trully have rejected the fulfillment of their faith. Their only child. The people suffering at the hands of the wicked for no fault of their own. Remember what Jesus said to Saul?
He fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?” 5 He asked, “Who are you, Lord?” The reply came, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.

Benadam, so do you mean that the End of the World won’t happen until the Jews realize Jesus is the Messiah?

Hope, that’s the expectation taught by St Paul. And the Church confirms that teaching. The teaching includes a warning that its possible before that due to God’s providence but we can expect what we have been taught is the way it will happen. So yes not until the Jews realize Jesus is their messiah.
 
Good, so that could take a looooooooong time.

No doubt about that! There are many generations of us Gentiles coming down the pipe. Could take centuries. Heck even another millenia. Who knows? 🤔
