The program The Cost of Abortion was produced by Saint Michael’s Media in 2008. Although Saint Michael’s Media is a religious organization, The Cost of Abortion is not in any way a religious program. It is a purely secular, economic program, addressing the problem of abortion in a direct way – how much does it cost?

Abortion does have a price tag – and that price tag, even in purely economic terms, is too high. As Michael Voris, the presenter of the program, says during the show “If you can’t see it for the children, see it for the money!”

Obviously, the cost of abortion is greater than mere money – but the financial issue is one which must be explored. Bad morality makes bad economic policy, and the economic impact of abortion on the USA is just one of the hundreds of reasons that it must be stopped.

Abortion is evil.

I suggest watching the show - I’m not the best at summarizing. 😉

The show will be out there, it’s not going anywhere. You can watch it later if you don’t have time right now. But this is important information worth knowing, so don’t put it off for too long.

I dd not follow the link. Is this the same program that was released on DVD a few months ago? If so, I bought it and thought it was VERY good! 👍

This is the very same show! Saint Michael’s Media believes that this is such an important message that it must be made available, and so they are partnering with RealCatholicTV to show this program online in a much easier to view format than previously available.

The DVD is still available for purchase, and is nice to have if you want to pass it along to family members or friends, or show at pro-life events.

I’m sorry there isn’t - the video relies very much on statistical graphics, visual aids, as well as some video clips of television programs and two VERY BRIEF images of aborted babies. The impact of the message would be lost in a written transcript I’m afraid.

The entire show is just shy of one hour.

I am not going to register to watch it.

I wanted to watch it to see the effects of abortion on the labor market. I thought few people in the workforce would drive up wages though.

I’m sorry you are not willing to register to view the video. Even on CA you have to register, it’s not an unusual request.

True enough, but registering may put a person on the site’s mailing list. Its enough to put some people off.

In the news forums here at CAF, when we start a new thread we are required to supply a link to a current news item regarding our topic. But that link can not require registration simply to view the article.

Thank you for the link, Liza. I watched the video and it was certainly very thought-provoking.

However, the images were not what I would call very brief - just to warn others. There are 2 segments, one is one minute long, the other is a minute and a half. They are very graphic, and very disturbing. I was in tears. I think it needs to be shown for sure, but those images will linger with me for quite some time - and, as a veterinarian, I have performed “abortions” on kittens, so I know what feti look like, this is very different. I even had to turn it off at the end.
