Are non-Catholic Christians taught about The Counter Reformation?
If not, why?

… hence my reference to Savonarola, (among others)…Thank you SyCarl.
Paidon,
The Catholic church was not caught unawares by the Reformation.
now this is a good question!:knight1: God’s Shield.

I believe with all my heart that if Protestants were to study history on their own out of their own interest, those with honest hearts could not claim that they were not Catholics because The Church was this or The Church was that.now this is a good question!
not many are taught about it. it wasn’t really considered “counter” since it did not address all of the concerns of the original reformers.
some protestants have studied it, but not through their churches i’m sure.
