The Crusades/Inquisition from a pro-Catholic POV

Are there any good academic history books that are written about the Crusades and Inquisition that are not anti Catholic? or even essays? I know the Crusades started off with a pius idea but ended up a big mess in the end and that the Inquisition was blown way out of proportion, but where can i read and SHOW people this?
