Most of the time, the statement ‘Culture of Life’ evoque in us the struggle against abortion and euthanasia.

Today I think I noticed an other issue. I was watching the ‘So you think you can Dance’ show and it occured to me after about three songs that what I was looking at was a sort of pagan dance. I notice how closely it is part of culture of death. I mean, the dancers seem to promote (even without knowing…just seeking to fit into the popular will) disrespect of the human body and dignity. I mean look at how those people and specially the girls are dressed…And how they dance. Now isn’t that an effective way of powering up more promescuity which lead to more sex, and we know the rest…

And tomorrow, as usual we will go in street saying
‘no to abortion, …blah blah blah…’ and people will see just that. To them we look more of protesters than people who have something better to offer.

So what I though about was: how does something ugly, empty, dark, be so popular and attractive while our beautiful, life and truth filled social doctrine is basically unknown?

Aren’t we hiding the lamp under the table while we should display it.

I think if we could really take our ‘theories’ seriously we can develop a catholic music and dance which would more surpassing those currently popular ones. I mean, if we have the true love, the true light, and the true beauty, how can we found ourself ‘boring’ and often condemned to dance our christians songs secularly ( if you see what I mean). Is it any wonder that we are not taken seriously?

Really, catholic televisions should promote kinds of ‘Catholic Idol’ show where people actually think about what they believe and celebrate them with their whole heart. There should be no way, pagan thing can be better than christian things. They are not. It is us who are just lazy…

I think a culture of life can be a really culture of life. Not just hiden in the bedrooms, but also and even more out in the open. It should be known and celebrated with all our energies. I think this is the worship of God is trully about. I was switching my tv and I just notice that the world is worshipping false gods, sex, violence, etc…

I think we shoud celebrate our God. And it should be more beautiful and attractive because light is more attractive than darkness. I am just sand that I feel that I don’t have enough power to do something. I guess I can only shout out. So if anyone need an idea, I hope here it is. Please start a Christian Idol Show or something more original and let’s prove what we mean when we say ‘Culture of Life’ and ‘Civilization of love’.

Let’s pray about this please!

Pst: There is a great document called Compendium of the Social Doctrine of the Church. If you haven’t read it yet, please do, you won’t regreat it.

God bless
